Hop Til You Drop California Common Beer
Though not super hoppy, California Common is a style that shows off the aromatic power of homegrown hops very nicely.
Smithwick’s Premium Irish Ale clone
When my wife and I visited Ireland, we really enjoyed our share of Smithwick’s Ale. Smithwick’s is a light-bodied, copper-colored Irish Red ale with a pleasant hint of roastiness and a dry finish. Here’s a successful homebrew version of Smithwick’s.

Midnight Sun Brewing Full Curl Scotch Ale clone
Full Curl is a wee heavy strong Scotch ale coming in at about 7% alcohol by volume.
Peanut Butter Cup Sweet Stout
I used peanut butter extract and cordial oil, but you could also use 6 oz. of natural peanut butter that you pour off the oil and add it at intervals during the boil just like the cocoa powder is added.

Hobgoblin Turkey
This is one of the most delicious recipes you will ever make. We use
a Cajun injector, available at Metal Fusion (800-783-3885) for $6.45.
They also are sold at Walmart and K-Mart stores. This is optional, but
it’s a great way to have a butter (and beer) basted turkey. If
available, purchase a natural, free-range bird. Don’t count on many
leftovers from this turkey!

Sweet Potato Hobgoblin Biscuits
When our children were little, this was the only way we could
convince them to eat sweet potatoes. If you want to maintain the
tradition of sweet potatoes on the holiday table, try these delicious
biscuits (just don’t tell the kids what’s in them). These are quick and
easy to make. Just boil and mash the potatoes the day before. Makes 12
biscuits. This recipe can easily be doubled.
